WSET Level 2 Award in Wines

A beginner-to-intermediate qualification for students who want broader wine knowledge, stronger tasting confidence, and practical understanding of style and quality.

Course Delivery

  • Minimum total study time: 28 hours
  • 16 hours provider-led classes (in person or online)
  • 11 hours personal study and revision
  • 1 hour final examination session

Assessment

Assessment is a one-hour closed-book exam with 50 multiple-choice questions. This qualification is regulated by Ofqual.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements. Students must be of legal drinking age in the country where they attend to take part in tasting samples. Provider-specific requirements may vary.
