What You Will Learn

  • How to taste and describe wine with the WSET Level 2 SAT method
  • How viticulture and winemaking choices affect wine style and quality
  • Key characteristics of principal international grape varieties
  • Major styles of still, sparkling, and fortified wines
  • Core principles of storage, service, labeling, and food pairing

Course Delivery

  • 3 days of classroom teaching in Bali, followed by the exam
  • 16 hours of classes with WSET Level 3 qualified educators, including guided tasting
  • Around 11 hours of personal study and revision between sessions
  • Taught in clear professional English, in small groups

Exam & Certificate

  • Closed-book exam: 50 multiple-choice questions in 60 minutes
  • Pass 55%, Pass with Merit 70%, Pass with Distinction 85%
  • On passing: a WSET certificate and silver lapel pin
  • WSET marks the exam and sends results through us
  • Unsuccessful? You can resit, with no limit on attempts

The qualification is regulated by Ofqual in the UK.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements, and WSET Level 1 is not required first. Students must be of legal drinking age to take part in tasting samples. Choosing not to taste does not prevent course completion.
